The Auditor's Office is seeking qualified candidates for a full-time (37.5 hours per week) Deputy Auditor.
Various duties include: assist with personnel administration including, but not limited to, payroll processing; process accounts payable/accounts receivable; participate in the various services provided by the Auditor's Office.
The position has a competitive wage and benefits package which includes medical insurance, vacation and sick leave and IPERS retirement plan.
Candidate must have strong computer skills, with a basic knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet software (Word and Excel) and the ability to use the internet to extract and record data. The candidate must also exhibit excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as the ability to communicate effectively, present information, assist and respond to County Officials, employees and the general public. A minimum of two years related on–the-job experience in accounting or any equivalent combination of education, training and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position is required. A degree in Business Administration and/or a background in Human Resources is highly recommended, but not required.
